Basic needs are hard to come by in a high poverty community. Meeting these needs for our students is something we strive to do. Often times we spend our own money in order to provide this to them. Our school budget is small and just barely covers the cost of medical supplies and standard medicine for the year. Donations to our cause will make an important impact in the life of a less fortunate child. Daily hygiene items that people take for granted everyday will be able to be provided to these students whose families are unable to afford them. Our school offers a place for homeless students to take a shower if needed and the hygiene kits we intend to put together will come in handy for this. The nurse's office is often asked to provide hygiene talks to students. We will be able to hand these kits out during these talks as well.
