Help my young art students develop their creativity and their own artistic voice by exploring clay. Working with clay supports students’ emotional wellbeing. Clay is a very meditative and therapeutic material to work with which can be very calming for students who have experienced upheaval and uncertainty during the past year. Working with clay supports students’ fine motor skill development, and gives students a chance to create 3D artwork. It is so exciting to take something home that you have created to display or use. Many of my students like to tell me they still have and display work they created in art class several years ago! Having air dry clay and pottery tools will have a lasting impact on my students' art class experience this year.
