My goal is to create an environment where my students will begin to enjoy reading versus their current feeling of completing a chore. All of my Reading students are low-level readers and have been conditioned to look at reading as a requirement instead of an opportunity to explore a world beyond their neighborhoods. Creation of an environment in which the students are comfortable and able to explore new worlds is my goal. I ordered different types of chairs (bean bag chairs, saucer chairs, and wobble chairs) that will allow the students to enjoy our novel studies. I will be removing all desks from my classroom to change it to a Reading Only Zone. I encourage the students to always be confident in their knowledge (see picture for our Confidence Chain) and your donation will help make this a reality. Thank you in advance!
