US Government is an incredibly vocabulary heavy course. There are hundreds of words and concepts they are expected to know. From "popular sovereignty" and "consent of the governed" to "executive privilege" and "judicial review," students must have a comprehensive knowledge of our government. There are so many challenging concepts for native English speakers, but for my ESOL students, it feels like an insurmountable challenge. It is difficult, but these students know how to overcome challenges. Please help me give them some tools to support their efforts. The vocabulary notebooks and folders I am requesting will help my students stay organized and help the vocabulary stay fresh in their minds this year.
