These are inquisitive students. They attend the oldest school in the community which has grown from an agricultural town to a larger city. Many have limited resources and a number are English learners . For many of these students they have spent little time, if any, out of this community. They are not equipped with the language or experiences that they encounter in our textbooks. They are eager to learn and often ask, "Can you show me what that looks like?" or "What do you mean by that?"
