So much of our world is technology-driven, not to mention paperless. In my classroom students are still using pencil and paper, because I don’t have Chromebooks for my students. Ideally, I would have them for every student, but even 4 would go a long way in allowing them to research in groups. They could also be used by individuals during lunch or after school. The majority of my kids do not have access to computers or WiFi at homes, so having it available in class is essential to prepare them for their future, because even the most practical careers and jobs involve an understanding of computers and technology.
