My students not only build robots but they also have to maintain them throughout the season. Tools wear out over the course of a season and need to be replaced; particularly, bits that get rounded off from repetitive use. Hacksaws get the job done but they are slow and the precision of cuts suffers which affects the quality of their builds. Quality tools means faster, more precise processes, giving the students a competitive edge. With the help of these tools our robotics classes can build robots more efficiently and with greater quality resulting more authentic real-world application of their skills and knowledge.
