These reading resources will go a long way in our 4th grade classroom. At my campus, we do not have a certified librarian and the books in the library have not been updated as frequently as it should! As a result, many of my students have not had the opportunity to develop a love of reading. However, with more engaging and relevant books in our classroom library, I know my students will grow to enjoy reading and will improve academically. My students need books that are interesting and exciting that will make them want to read. These books will be used in our classroom daily and students will be able to take them home to continue reading outside of school. I chose graphic novels because they are very engaging and help emerging bilingual students develop understanding of texts.
