My classroom teaches ELA skills to students with cognitive disabilities. Since we are in a high school, it can be difficult to find books in the building that are at an appropriate reading level for my students. My students are motivated to read and to develop reading skills, but currently have limited options when it comes to accessible books. My students are in need of motivating reading materials that they can access independently. The books will be accessible at all times for my students. They can use them during free time, or during class assignments. Having reading materials that students are motivated to read can go a long way to increasing their skills. My students will WANT to practice their reading skills with these books.
