My students love technology! We have technology stations as part of our literacy stations everyday. Technology stations are their favorites to work in during our station time. At this time, I only have one computer and two Chromebooks in my classroom. I would love to have a classroom set of Chromebooks to utilize during our station rotations and during our weekly technology time in the classroom. Technology is a building block of a child's education and in our world today. A classroom set of Chromebooks would allow me to work with students on introductory coding lessons to foster critical thinking skills. Our system also utilizes Study Island exact path. This is a fantastic program that allows students to work at their own pace and on their own level. I would be able to utilize the classroom set to allow students adequate time to work on this program to grow academically. We have recently lost our technology teacher. We are teaching technology in the classroom during our technology time. A set of Chromebooks would help us achieve the technology standards in our classroom. Not only would my classroom benefit from this set of Chromebooks, but the other five kindergarten classes could use them during their technology time as well.
