Students become better readers by reading. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of high interest books that will allow them to read independently at their own reading level. The graphic novels and series, such as The Graphic Universe books and books by Gary Soto, are highly popular with my students but are often difficult for them to find. By offering reading time daily to my students and providing quality books at the appropriate reading levels, I hope to not only help my students grow stronger as readers but also learn to enjoy reading.
