The books I am requesting will benefit the five second grade classrooms in my school. The titles will be used to introduce English Language Arts concepts using quality literature that is of interest to our students. The mentor text will assist in teaching concepts such as comparing and contrasting two texts, author's purpose, character traits, and more. It is incredibly important to grab your students' attention with text that make them want to learn. The materials I am requesting for my team will ensure that we are able to captivate our students so that they are engaged in meaningful learning.

About my class
