As a community outreach event, I will be hosting a read-aloud and movie night at school. The focus will be around sharing favorite holiday tales with all ages in the family. Regardless of language, age, economic status, or literacy level - every family should have a home with books to focus on sharing with one another. When families value literacy time spent together, a tradition of shared literacy will be established. The benefits of this tradition will affect generations to come. Books have been chosen in both English and Spanish as well as at a variety of reading levels to make this literacy tradition accessible to every family!

About my class
