Creating enthusiasm and joy for reading encourages students to become life-long readers. This novel is relevant and students will surely engage in deep and thoughtful discussions looking at the issues facing our society from multiple angles. I am confident that through this novel my students will learn to be the change that they want to see as they advocate for themselves. This will only strengthen our community.
