Right now, the band's collection of music stands is full of dented and broken stands. Like the ones you see in my classroom photo, these music stands are a safety hazard, as they frequently break while students are using them. The sharp edges on their current music stands are also a safety hazard. The new music stands we're looking at as replacements are more durable and will hopefully last a very long time. Students will put their sheet music on these new stands which will be a vital tool when they rehearse and perform their music. The music stands will be used by band and jazz band ensembles. These stands will be used every day.
