This year, students received one to one technology. The school district provided every student with a laptop. Some students have been able to purchase headphones to utilize the class material, however, there are many student families that cannot absorb the cost of a pair of headphones with a mic and the other classroom supplies. We have a class set of headphones that are shared, they often get broken due to daily use and abuse they receive from multiple users. A personal set of earbuds with microphones, could make all the difference in the world, not only academically but also hygienically. Basic classroom supplies are always in high demand - students often run out of glue and often struggle finding a pencil. Having glue and pencils readily available, could really make the difference between a good day or a bad day for a middle school student.
