Students are encouraged to be lifetime readers. They need individual books so they each have one to read at school and they can take it home. Reading, literature, and art are a huge part of our class and can make a huge difference in their lives. Students will learn how to express themselves and how to use feelings, such as empathy. Bullying and respect will also be touched on during this assignment. The lives of the characters are different. This is great topic to discuss with students. Students will make subway style posters to hang in the hall related to the book. We hope to make an impact on students.
