All of the students in my classroom learn well when completing hands on activities. The instant learning centers and file folder activities will allow students to learn and practice academic skills while completing a hands-on activity. Students will use the story sequencing activity and twist and write pencils to practice writing stories in sequential order, as well as practice fine motor skills. The water beads will be used to help build fine motor skills, and practice counting with 1:1 correspondence. The rhyming words and letter activities will help students who are emergent readers to gain independence and master pre-reading skills. The instant learning skills range from Kindergarten to first grade leveled reading, writing, and math activities. Fine motor skills are essential to child development. Building fine motor skills will help students with writing, work tasks, and math skills in the school setting. Many of the students in my classroom struggle with fine motor skills. Therefore, specialized writing utensils and water-bead fine motor activities will help students to build their fine motor skills during both reading and math activities.
