Some of the state Physical Education standards for multiple grades are, for students to strike an object using an implements. Pickle ball uses paddles and would help them to learn to us implements which can benefit them in learning other sports such as tennis and racquetball. Because we don't have the facilities for tennis or racquetball, pickle ball would be a good beginning for my students in learning to use implements. Pickle ball is also a sport that my student could play their entire lives. Pickle ball is a sport that is enjoyed by all ages. One of my goals as a physical education teacher is to help students find a physical activity they enjoy and will want to participate in their entire lives. I feel that pickle ball is one of those activities.
