All of my lessons involve video demonstrations, projected slide shows and demonstrations, and audio presentations. Within the Visual Arts, I provide samples of artwork and technique demonstrations. Within Spanish, verbal pronunciations and cultural explanations are extremely important in practicing new translations. A new projector will allow my students to clearly see guided notes and demonstrations, new speakers will clearly and precisely pronounce newly learned words and translations, and a new dvd player will allow my students to watch films directly associated with the arts and languages. As a swiss-army knife of a teacher (Art, Math, Spanish - who knows what next year will bring), I find much easier and more productive to utilize the technology that I have access to. This updated media equipment will allow my classes to run much more effectively, allowing me to concentrate more on the quality and interest level of my lesson plans.
