BREAKOUT EDU is an immersive "escape the room" style classroom experience for students. Students are able to create physical "escape the room" games, digital "escape the room" games and play games created by the teacher and their peers utilizing their knowledge and skills of the content area learned in class. Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Creativity and Communication are required to solve or create these exciting puzzles! Students are encouraged to work together, problem-solve and communicate while trying to escape the room. Applying knowledge in a real-world context, beyond pencil and paper, aids students in exploring the full range of Bloom's taxonomy as related to the material. They are interacting and utilizing the skills from class to solve problems, teaching one another and building memories and a classroom community along the way.
