My students are experiencing school for the first time. They are excited about learning and about discovering all they can about the world they live in. My students and their families are recovering from the devastation of flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey. Many of them are still rebuilding their homes. School is a safe place for them. I want my classroom to welcoming, safe, organized and fun. My students learn by doing They need many, many hands-on opportunities. I want to provide them with the best opportunity to become engaged and explore. It is my deepest hope that by being a part of my classroom I have laid the foundation for a lifetime love of learning.
