Being part of the Unicef program, students learn about other children on a global level. The Kid Power program not only encourages a healthy lifestyle, it also brings to light the realities others may face in other parts of the world. Students have an opportunity to learn about others throughout the world and also begin to truly understand the practice of empathy. They learn that through their own actions, they can actually help others. The Unicef Kid Power program provides teaching materials along with the Kid Power Bands that the students will use. The educational resources provide kids with an opportunity to explore and experience a country, region, or topic that UNICEF is working on to achieve the Global Goals. Through hands-on learning experiences, kids go on Missions helping them learn what it means to be global citizens, and realize that their everyday activity can save lives
