I purchased metal stools in the past for my reading small group table. These have worked great for the past 3 years but are now starting to fall apart. My students are nervous to sit in them and have told me multiple times they learn better when they are active. Knowing students are more likely to remember content when there is movement involved tells me I need to provide a way to make this possible. Allowing my students to wiggle and move while I am with them for small group reading instruction gives me the confidence to know they will succeed.
