Each morning before classes begin I always have a crowd of students in my room playing the Royal Game. It is the same during lunch time as well as at our after-school chess program. Sadly, each day when it is time to put the games away, I hear the children say that they wish they had their own chessboards. Then they could teach their families and friends at home how to play and share the joy of chess with them.
