In a Montessori classroom, the beautiful and child size lessons are displayed on open shelves.The lessons are indented to provide hands on activities which represent real life correlation. The children are free to choose lessons and bring them to a working mat after the material has been demonstrated by the teacher. Making choices help to develop the mind of a young child and builds their enthusiasm for learning. I would like to add these lessons to my curriculum to allow the child repetition to further develop their new skills, since repetition is the key to all learning. I rotate the material throughout the school year to generate new interest in the lessons, pulling the children back to repeat these lesson.
