It seems like every child nowadays have access to some sort of advanced technology, whether at home or at school. Here in our classroom we have access to 4 Chromebooks for a classroom of 8 children. Being an all autistic classroom, technology has become a more increasing need, and plays an even bigger role in helping students discover new ways of communication. Communication among students come with more difficulties for children on the spectrum and these tablets will play a role in helping them achieve new forms of it. These tablets are going to make a huge difference in how my classroom is run and the learning tools I can give my kids. Along with communication, the tablets will play a huge role in academic support, whether using it for school related projects, assignments, and research, or using it to let their imaginations grow and learn more about the world they live in through play. Each child in my classroom is unique in their own way and these tablets will allow for new skills, more support, and easier transitions during a difficult school day. Please consider donating, as this will change the way my students learn and interact with others.
