The document camera that I have requested will help students see step by step directions on new math and science concepts. Students create interactive notebooks and make entries on a daily basis. Using a document camera will give them a better understanding of how the pages are organized and put together. A document camera will also help me show students how to complete various assignments. The added benefit to using a document camera is that my back will not be to the students as I explain, I am hearing impaired, and it will make it easier for me to check for student understanding. A document camera replaces what used to be the overhead projector without all the mess, but it can be used for so much more than just showing a document.
