My students are marvels--inquisitive, caring, and determined. Our classroom culture is based on the “Green Gator” community, peace, friendship, and the highest level of achievement. This year, 20 students have been placed in my charge at a 99% low income, 97% Hispanic school. It is truly remarkable to see the impact my rigorous approach has upon helping these children to overcome vast challenges. Joining Teach for America three years ago, I never anticipated the incredible, positive energy my students astound me with each day.
