It is a major accomplishment to have all our students focused and engaged. Having sensory balls and glitter tubes will help our students to focus and motivate them to learn much needed skills. Without providing sensory input they will try to seek it in unexpected ways that may not be conducive to learning. My students are noticeably more engaged when their sensory needs are met. Engagement is they key for our students to learn and grow. The light box will help students stay engaged and I plan to use it to engage them in academics and even social skills. I am very excited about the possibility of having the Light Table Alphabet Tracing Tiles to practicing tracing and identifying letters. My students are motivated by sensory balls and sensory objects that light up. They even enjoy the light of the sun! Right now we do not have these sensory objects readily available and it would make a world of difference to have the opportunity to use these resources to help our students grow, learn and explore the world.
