The use of flexible seating and movement is a daily activity in my classroom. Students move around the room and sit in different places throughout the day. Many third grade students need to move more often than a regular chair allows. Typical school chairs are not meant to rock or move and students need this physical movement to help their learning. When students can move throughout the day, they are more engaged and are able to learn more. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, while allowing their bodies to move or wiggle.
