I recently was trained in Orton Gillingham IMSE. This training is a phenomenal way for students to learn to read through multi sensory strategies and activities. This project will give students some of the essential tools needed to implement these strategies in my Title 1 classroom. Learning to read is difficult! Learning to read with things like canvas screens, red and green colored pencils, word ladders, and sand trays makes it FUN! These items also make reading possible for students that need other strategies besides the traditional ones teachers usually use. The items in my project are components of the strategies I plan on implementing.
