These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because money is an important skill to learn at an early age. Teaching my students the value of a dollar will help them be money conscience as an adult. My students will also benefit from the literacy resources. Many of these hands-on materials provide lots of creative ways to teach literacy. The document camera would enlarge materials so that all students can see the specific details on coins and the literacy materials as well. I want my students to be fully engaged and motivated when I am teaching so they can learn how to read and grow into independent thinkers. Teaching them how to be financially responsible will help when they become adults to then be productive citizens in our community. I know that my students have wonderful imaginations. One way for students to express their creative thinking is through art. A classroom needs creative art kits to help students express their individual artistic skills. My students deserve to have the best educational experience every day. I hope this project can make it happen!
