In my math classroom, students currently have traditional desks. These desks are outdated and many students have a hard time placing their supplies on these desks without them falling off. They are also top heavy so they fall over easily. The desks do not fit together well for collaboration, which makes group work very difficult. Certain learning activities are very challenging since these desks have a top that is angled and it is hard for students to lay their materials out on these desks. This project will allow me to partially upgrade my classroom and remove six traditional desks and replace them with new tables and chairs for easier collaboration.
