I am looking to offer my students an engaging novel study on "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind." However, my school does not have a class set of this novel in our library. Through reading this novel, my students will complete a final project where they are to build their own windmill in groups through their selected materials. Not only will my students have access to a STEM project, but they will also be able to explore topics related to social studies, science, and math through this novel study. I am excited to see how ELA can be cross-curricular through this novel study.
