Because of the need for another Special Needs Middle School Classroom in the county, my room is a recently developed classroom. My students are on the low end of the Autism Spectrum and therefore are in need of a sensory room, a room where they can get away from any situation that may be stressful. This would make a HUGE difference in all our lives, it would give my students options, and a place to calm when the need arises. With these sensory materials my students will be able to explore the area of light and sound and it will give me a way to interact with my students in a calming environment.
