Many of my students come from low income families who don’t have the extra funds to provide my students with headphones. Since we are a 1 to 1 school with chrome books, my students are constantly interacting with technology. The school provided each student with a pair of headphones at the beginning of the year but many of them have been broken. Most of my students can not afford to replace them. I try to personalize my students’ learning experiences and this requires them to be able to watch and listen to videos in order to complete their assignments. With multiple different videos going on at the same time this becomes chaotic if the students aren’t using headphones.
