My students often come to class without pencils. Their homework is done, their grades are good, and their notes are neat, but it's the little, often insignificant-seeming things that they have the most trouble obtaining. When I hand out my classroom materials at the beginning of the year, I often hear groans or worried looks on my student's faces. I reassure them, however, that they will not need to purchase a single thing for my class. If access to a pencil and paper is the only thing barring my students from succeeding in my class, then I want to ensure that this barrier is torn down to begin with. I want to be able to provide my students with everything they could ever need to be prepared for school and ready to learn. My project strives to do just that, by providing my students with such materials as pencils, erasers, notebooks, pencil sharpeners, and notebook paper. It will also ensure that I have a full stock of the materials that I will need to succeed as a teacher, such as Expo markers, sharpies, and chart paper.
