I started implementing flexible seating in my classroom after 20+ years of teaching; I was able to get rid of my ancient desks and have tables and chairs for seating. The students are learning to make good choices of where they want to sit. We even have a seating rule chart. Our desks in our school are more than 20 years old. So I wanted to implement flexibility in my class. I would use these book seat bags as a way to help motivate students to have easier access to their curriculum books. Each student will have their own bag to help them keep their materials organized and help them get to their materials a little easier. It will help them to become more independent with their materials. I want them to learn how to organize their materials so we do not have to waste learning time and get into our lessons a little faster.
