Our school was built in 1980 (wow!) and therefore our classroom could use a few supplies to spruce it up and make it great! I believe that brightly-colored wobble stools offer fun and flexible seating choices by our computer center that can easily be moved to other centers when needed. I would like for my students to choose the type of seating that is the most comfortable for their growing bodies and the most optimal for their learning. For many kids, being in motion while learning allows their brains to be better engaged. There is a neurological pathway that goes from your body's balance and movement system to your alert system within the brain. This movement allows for alertness and continuous attention. I am confident that flexible seating will make a difference in my students' focus.
