Unfortunately I think most people believe that every classroom has at least one computer for students to utilize, this is not the case. These chromebooks would help provide all of my students with daily opportunities to succeed both at their level and at their own pace. The age of technology is what the workplace requires by not having daily access in the classroom, we are not providing them with the tools to be successful in the future. The highlighters help us color code our learning in both reading and writing (for example -characterization :STEAL, PLOT, and expository writing). This helps our students connect text to patterns, so that the likely hood of mastery of the material is much stronger, and they also love seeing all the colors. Sometime novelty goes a long way, with adolescent teens.
