I am asking for a color printer because color printing is not available at my schools. My kids would benefit from color printing, especially my students with autism, so that they can better relate images to real-world objects and people. With a color printer, I can create visual schedules, communication books, and vibrant visuals to reinforce vocabulary. Book rings would help to easily put these visuals together for students to use to communicate in therapy, in the classroom, and at home. The ultimate goal for this project is to support and facilitate my students' abilities to communicate in therapy, in the classroom, at home, and beyond! The rest of the items on my wishlist are wonderful hands-on games (like Mr. Potato Head), activities (like story sequencing cards), and materials (like hand puppets!) that can be used with kids to practice a variety of skills - from increasing sentence-length to promoting vocabulary to bettering speech errors.
