Being able to move helps my students stay focused on their learning longer. Studies have shown that engaging the core muscles has a positive impact on brain function by increasing blood flow to the brain. We need to use every minute of our time together working on remedial reading and writing. These wobble seats are easy to relocate to different parts of the room for creative grouping and they also give the kids a break from having to be "still"... while still actively learning. There are a few pilot classrooms in our school that have alternative seating that my students have used and enjoyed. Thank you in advance for your help!
