Small group instruction is vital in any classroom, and we need our own space to do so! My classroom needs our own rug and some flexible seating so we can come together in our small groups and learn Math more effectively. Our own classroom rug would enable my students to have a centralized location to come together with their teacher and focus on the Math lesson being taught for the day. Thus far, we have been sitting at our tables, and I must say how boring is that?! The students would love to come to the rug and have some smaller group instruction. I also chose stools for some of my friends who may have a hard time sitting still, and let's face it, isn't that all of us? Flexible seating is not just for my friends who have a hard time sitting still, but along with our new rug, it would help my students feel more like they are receiving their own private Math lesson for the day!
