Making music together and fostering a lifelong love of music is part of my mission as an elementary music educator. The ukuleles I am requesting for my students will be used and enjoyed daily and continually for years to come. I would love to provide these instruments as another means of making music in our classroom, and ukes are perfect because they make pop music accessible! So much of kids' musical learning takes place outside of school in what they listen to at home, and ukuleles are a wonderful tool to take enjoying pop music to the next level. A big part of my job is to facilitate musical exploration and empower young musicians. Instrumental exploration is such a core element of musical learning at any age, and I believe that my older students would benefit greatly from having ukuleles in our classroom. Please consider donating and providing my students with this excellent learning opportunity!
