Our class will be conducting a novel study with the book Wonder, by R.J. Palacio. As a class we will be diving deep into the book by analyzing the text, finding hidden messages and themes about life the author has written about. Students will be researching and answering the question, "How do stories teach us about life?" This novel study will benefit my students by addressing these Cognitive skills: Theme/Central Idea, Selection of Evidence, Explanation of Evidence, Communicating Accurately and Precisely, and Plot. Please provide my students with the materials (Wonder) that they will need to accomplish this novel study.
