A school is not only a place for academics; it shapes the character and habits of a student. Most of the students I teach live in poverty, therefore, social skills are a vital part of their education. I know my request for these items are out of the ordinary, however, I am responsible for cleaning and organizing my own classroom. Clean and organized classrooms promote healthy habits. Clean and organized classrooms make learning an enjoyable experience. With the help of cleanliness, we can keep our physical and mental health clean, which will make us feel good. After my students clean and organize our classroom, they feel so proud. I teach in a portable building, which has no cell phone reception and the only way I can communicate with the front office is by telephone. The cordless phone that I have now is not working anymore.
