Traditionally the Spanish classrooms were filled with endless grammar exercises. And what happened? We could conjugate verbs in paper for ever, but when it came to use the language we couldn't say a phrase. We all have gone through that: taking Spanish in High School but not be able to read, write speak or understand. Grammar drills don't work. New research shows that to acquire a language students have to read and write every day. Through comprehensible input, students are able to read and comprehend language beyond what they thought possible. These two sets of novels will get us going with our reading. Because we all are new to The Comprehensible Classroom, we need to build our libraries and all help is welcomed.
