My students' favorite part of our days involve getting to choose where you sit and how we choose to learn. The lap desks' mobility will allow them to choose how and where they best learn without being to far from where they want to learn during whole group learning or individual workstations. Free choice seating fosters a child's responsibility for learning. Along with the learning that takes place throughout the day, we will use LEGO blocks as math manipulatives, phonetic engagements for sounding out difficult words, and to bring creativity for life during our inventors unit. Time management in a busy classroom is vital. Many students benefit from having a visual reference as to how to spread their time our effectively. What better way than with a Jumbo timer that can be seen from any corner of the room! Meal prep containers are an easy child friendly way to organize our small literacy and math manipulatives too. These, and many other basic classroom essentials will give us the necessary resources to focus our energy on mastering our first grade skills and blooming as LIFE LONG LEARNERS! Thank you for your consideration. TEAM work makes the DREAM work!
