Most of our exploration activity happens in the block area and our sand & water table. This is where they build, find problems with their original design, seek answers, and when answers are discovered, they revise and rebuild. Exploration need not be limited to the block and sand & water table. Using the Mobile STEM Unit, pattern blocks, and challenge cards, we can provide similar opportunities throughout other areas of the classroom. Exploration is accessible in all areas of life. What better way to model this than in an early learning classroom environment? My goal is to expand similar exploration activities in various areas of the classroom. What better way to begin this expansion than enhancing our Science & Discovery Area of the classroom?
